Nwabueze Calls For Calm, Blames Protests On Bad Leaders

A call has gone out to pro-Biafra group under the auspice of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for the Actualisation Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) to reconsider their renewed calls for secession.

This plea was made by a constitutional lawyer and chairman of The Patriots, Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN) Monday, November 30 in Lagos state.
According to Vangaurd reports, Nwabueze blamed bad leadership in the country for this the new wave of protest for Biafra stating that the solution to the problem does not lie in secession.
The legal luminary also added that sending the protesters to prison is either the solution.

He hinged the cause for the new protest to what he termed as injustice melted out to the people of the southeast of the country f by the administration of President Muhamamdu Buhari for the renewed agitation for Biafra.
Nwabueze said: “How can Nigeria with the kind of experience we had under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, elect another military commander and former head of the Federal Military Government as President. It doesn’t make sense. Have we ever sat down to reflect on this. It’s amnesia. Nigerians suffer from amnesia, loss of memory. We don’t have memory of the past. It’s possible the amnesia will repeat itself again after eight years, because President Muhammadu Buhari will go on for another eight years, and another military man will emerge and Nigerians will elect him.
“What we are experiencing now under the current administration shows you that our problem has been leadership. What Nigeria needs is a leader who will guide this country as one, and not one Northern Nigeria.

“Nigeria needs a leader who will regard all the ethnic groups as his constituency. We have 389 ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. How do you coalesce them into one. That’s what is called the national question, which is more challenging than corruption. Who can do it? It’s not impossible. I believe that it can be done. But not under the present process, where somebody with the kind of Buhari’s background and credentials could be elected and get imposed on Nigerians through this so-called electoral process.”
He opined that Biafra is never the solution to the poor of Igbo saying that they have tried fighting for Biafra and failed. He warned that the continued protests by the Igbo might led to mass killing because the people of southeast are scatter all over the country.
“Between 1967 to 1970, when the war ended, millions of Igbos were killed. Is that what we want again? What did we achieve by that war? did we achieve Biafra? We didn’t. Is there any basis to think that it can be realised this time? Are we more prepared for it now than we were in 1967. Certainly not, we aren’t prepared for it,” the Igbo leader said.

10 Ways To Spot A Prostitute In Your Locality

Here are the characteristics of prostitutes and ways to spot them

1. They usually make-up in the evening

I trust that I'm not the one that has observed this. They will get dressed in the evening, you will see them apply excessive make-ups looking like Mickey Mouse; and wear perfumes that will be oozing from 100 kilometres away. The next time you will see them is 5am, the next morning, when they are sneaking into the compound. However, they are always going to work when others are returning back. That is one of the ways to spot them

2. They usually chew bubble gum loudly

By the way some ladies chew bubble gum, you could probably tell that are into prostitution. They chew bubble gum flirtaciously and audibly and will be speaking Pidgin fluently

3. They receive calls, every now and then

Many of them use expensive phones. They might be using four phones that will have all the Mobile networks in Nigeria. For example, MTN line will be in their Android fone; Zain line will be in their Blackberry fone; Etisalat line will be in their Samsung; and Glo line will be in their Nokia. They will are glued to their phone surfing the web and receiving calls at regular intervals

4. They barely relate with neighbours

Another way to spot them is that they are somewhat isolated and barely relate with their neighbours. You won't even know what they are into

5. They usually wear waist chain and anklets

I don't know for other countries, but from my perspective as a Nigerian, ladies who wear anklets and waist chains are somewhat prostitutes or runs babes (though there are execptions). You will see them on okada flashing their waist chain to attract interested "chairmen". I know that some people will say that, OP, I wear all these things yet I'm not a prostitute. Well, you may be an exception sha cheesy

6. Their male visitors always come with cars

When a man visits them, be rest assure that he must have a car parked outside. Them no dey roll with broke boys cheesy

7. They dress immorally and irresponsibly

Some of them go carry dia yeye dressing come church of God just to confused annoited men of God. In my church, ushers are instructed never to allow ladies dressed immorally to occupy the front seat. However, some of them will dress irresponsibly and will be bent on occupying the front seat. This is to throw the annointed pastor into a state of confusion

8. They barely cook

I have lived with quite a few of them so I know what I'm talking about. Prostitutes are usually lazy when it comes to cooking, hence, they are regular patronizers of Mr Biggs, Mr. Fans, Sweet Sensation, etc

9. They discuss about men and money

As marriage no dey dia agenda, na to dey discuss about men and money sure pass. Some of them are not hard to bleep as you think. Some of dem fit make mouth wella, but don't be surprised that with just N1,000, you will get them laid

10. They bear different names

They give different names to different chairmen. A man may come visiting today and will ask the neighbours that he's looking for Tracy; tomorrow, another visitor and will say he's looking for Sandra, and vice versa

I Caught My Husband Sniffing My Niece's Pants

Dear Cynthia
I caught my husband of five years sniffing the panties of my 15 years niece. I don't know if I should confront him or let the issue lie.
I also think he bought my niece a new blackberry phone because the day I insisted on making my niece tell me where she got the phone, he became too overprotective of her and we almost fought over the issue.

My niece recently lost her father, making my sister a widow who let go of her children to stay with her relatives, that is how my niece came to stay with me,
On the 26th of November 2015, I saw him at the backyard next to the heap of clothes my niece brought out to wash, he picked up a pant, my niece's pant and sniffed it, I almost screamed where I was.
Also I keep noticing the look they exchange, very flirtatious.

Lastly my niece is acting like she is his wife, she dishes his food even before the children's food, doesn't knock before opening the door of our bedroom, and the most disturbing is, she asks my husband where he is going when he wants to go out as if she is his wife, my husband is 37 and this girl is 15, I suggested to my husband that we send her off to a boarding school, he rejected the idea and even got angry with me saying it will affect the girl psychologically, as if I want to dump her in a boarding house and run away. I want to confront my husband but I have no evidence, and for my niece I respect my eldest sister so much that I don't know what to do, I feel like an outsider in my own home.

P.S. My husband is a banker and also a pastor at our church.

I sincerely need your advice.
Thank you.

Today,1st Of December Is World Aids Day!!!

ABOUT WORLD AIDS DAY

WHAT IS WORLD AIDS DAY?

World AIDS Day is held on the 1st December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day, held for the first time in 1988.

WHY IS WORLD AIDS DAY IMPORTANT?

Over 100,000 people are living with HIV in the UK. Globally there are an estimated 34 million people who have the virus. Despite the virus only being identified in 1984, more than 35 million people have died of HIV or AIDS, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.

Today, scientific advances have been made in HIV treatment, there are laws to protect people living with HIV and we understand so much more about the condition. Despite this, each year in the UK around 6,000 people are diagnosed with HIV, people do not know the facts about how to protect themselves and others, and stigma and discrimination remain a reality for many people living with the condition.

World AIDS Day is important because it reminds the public and Government that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ON WORLD AIDS DAY?

World AIDS Day is an opportunity to show support to and solidarity with the millions of people living with HIV. Wearing a red ribbon is one simple way to do this. Find out where you can get a red ribbon.

World AIDS Day is also a great opportunity to raise money for NAT (National AIDS Trust) and show your support for people living with HIV. If you feel inspired to hold an event, such as a bake sale, or simply sell red ribbons, visit our fundraising page. If you’d like to see events that others are holding please visit our events page.

BUT WHAT ABOUT AFTER WORLD AIDS DAY?

Although World AIDS Day is a great opportunity to talk about HIV, it is important to keep the momentum going all year round. Sign up to NAT's newsletter which will keep you up to date with all the new developments in HIV and the work of the National AIDS Trust, or visit our website, HIVaware, for more information.
