Strikers are
frequently the main goal-scorers and those who finish off a team move,
or individual set-piece, often get most of the glory.
There were only four goalkeepers listed on FIFA 16’s top 50 players in world football, yet there were a multitude of centre forwards.
Here we roundup the best 11 so you don’t have to.
1: Lionel Messi – FIFA 16 rating 94 – Barcelona
The
greatest current footballer according to FIFA 16, Messi – still just
28-years-old – last season concluded his third most prolific season to
date.
Already with three to his name from this
campaign, the Argentine has some way to go before equalling his 43
goals and 18 assists from 37 starts in La Liga.
Regardless, EA Sports tip him to be the superstar once again.
2: Cristiano Ronaldo – FIFA 16 rating 93 – Real Madrid
Ronaldo misses out on the top stop to his nemesis Lionel Messi. Yet he is going to have a record-breaking season.
Just
two goals away from Raul’s total goal haul, Ronaldo is set to become
Real Madrid’s most prolific ever goal-scorer. Some feat.

3: Luis Suarez – FIFA 16 rating 90 – Barcelona
When at Liverpool, there was seemingly no stopping Suarez.
While
he isn’t having the same impact in Spain as another Premier League
alumni Cristiano Ronaldo, he is still producing the goods at Camp Nou.
4: Zlatan Ibrahimovic – FIFA 16 rating 89 – Paris St Germain
He is Zlatan.
5: Neymar – FIFA 16 rating 88 – Barcelona
The
most popular footballer in Brazilian sports right now, Neymar, 23, has
already returned three goals from four La Liga games this season.
Considering his age, he may have the greatest potential to grow in FIFA 16 out of all of those mentioned on this list.

6: Sergio Aguero – FIFA 16 rating 87 – Manchester City
Aguero is rightly deemed the best striker in the Premier League.
It
is reported that some of the big clubs in Spain have been interested in
recruiting him, but so far he firmly remains a staunch Citizen.
7: Robert Lewandowski – FIFA 16 rating 87 – Bayern Munich
Lewandowski recently scored five goals in nine minutes. Yes, that’s minutes. Not games.
The tall Polish international is proving a shrewd acquisition by Bayern and continues to go from strength to strength.
8: Carlos Tevez – FIFA 16 rating 86 – Boca Juniors
The
Argentine has a 1:2 goals to games ratio in the Primera Division and
some of his goals have been worthy of the highlight reel.

Chelsea
fans may be apoplectic over Costa’s ranking as the 9th best striker in
the world according to EA Sports – and they may have a case for a higher
ranking. After all, Costa either scored (20) or assisted (3) once every
90.5 minutes he was on a Premier League field last year.
This season, though, he is out of form and currently serving a three game suspension.
10: Karim Benzema – FIFA 16 rating 86 – Real Madrid
The
Frenchman is a more out and out striker when compared to the withdrawn
nature of Muller and that shows with his more reliable goal return.
Benzema
has scored five goals already from four La Liga outings this season and
he tallied another from just one Champions League performance – no
wonder Arsenal were so desperate for his signature during the summer.
11: Thomas Muller – FIFA 16 rating 86 – Bayern Munich
Once
described by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger as a player who possesses
the ultimate physique for a striker, Muller can play anywhere around the
forward line.
His performances at consecutive
World Cups cemented his international reputation but he also has four
Bundesliga titles and a Champions League winner’s medal.
