A woman was allegedly subjected to a savage attack after receiving a text that read: "Behind You".
The chilling message was sent before Brittany Merrick, 22, was attacked alongside her pal Brittany Norris, it is claimed.
Their story has gone viral on Facebook after Brittany shared images of her injuries in a set of disturbing pictures.
Ms Merrick was heading home after a night out on Boxing Day when she was allegedly attacked in Newcastle, New South Wales in Australia.
Pictures of her cut and swollen face have been shared thousands of times.

It is claimed that the attack was launched after a man Ms Merrick knew spat at her in the nightclub following a disagreement.

The pair were both ordered by staff to leave the nightclub.
However after leaving Ms Merrick received a text that read "Behind You".

Moments later, the alleged attack was launched.
Both women were injured in the incident, with Ms Merrick spending the night in hospital.
A man has been charged by police officers with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has been released on bail.
