APC Issues Warning To Dickson Over Anti-FG Comments

The All Progressives Congress has lambasted the PDP in Bayelsa state for issuing inflammatory statements against President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government and security agencies.

Chief Timipre Sylva and Governor Seriake Dickson
The party stated that the Peoples Democratic Party in the state is frustrated by the high rate of defection of its members to the APC ahead of the crucial December 5, gubernatorial election in the state.
This position of the APC was contained in a signed statement by director of publicity of the Sylva/Igiri Campaign Organisation.

The main opposition party in the state said that PDP is nervous as the days of the election draw near and out of sheer desperation is making baseless accusation in order to give its supporters false hope that it will win the poll.
Egba noted that the continued defection of PDP bigwigs to APC will boost the chances of his party to coast home in victory in the election.
The APC statement reads:  “The allegation raised by the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and Governor Seriake Dickson over a possible plot by the APC to rely on the federal might to win the election is not only false but a mere distraction to gain attention and sympathy. This is clearly the ranting by a drowning political party. It is the trademark of the PDP to use federal might to win elections as recorded in the past when the party was at the centre.
“For us in the APC, we will rely on the electorate to do the needful by voting our candidates on merits. The people of the state have promised to savour the great momentum the APC was bringing into this election to change the retrogressive government of restoration into a government of prosperity.

“We would like to place on record that no member of the APC defected to the PDP during the rally. The almost 50 little children and boys brought into the arena wielding their brooms were impostors and that it was the governor and his lieutenants who stage-managed the show of shame. We are happy that the television camera captured the faces of the under-age who posed as APC members with more than 70 per cent of them less than 18 years.
“The display was just to score one point and deceive the national leadership of their party into believing that they were on ground when in actual fact, PDP is already dead and buried while we await the burial on the election date come Saturday, 5th December,2015.
Meanwhile, Governors elected on the platform of PDP had alleged advanced plans by APC to clone Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and make use of  fake security agents  to rig the December 5 election in the state.
