Was Ferne's Panic Pit the most horrifying Bushtucker Trial ever?

WHEN Ant and Dec call a Bushtucker Trial "the worst one ever", you know it's going to be bad.

SKIN-CRAWLING: Ferne's task was the most terrifying yet
So kudos to Ferne McCann for sticking out many people's idea of a living hell.
The TOWIE star was buried up to her neck in sand and snakes in a horrific trial called Panic Pit.
After volunteering for the trial, Ferne was told by Ant and Dec that she would have to lie in a tunnel for eight minutes to win as many meals for camp.
The Essex girl wound herself up at the beginning after hearing noises in the tunnel, but soon lay down to begin the trial.

But small confined spaces were the least of her worries.
A vat of sand and soil were dumped on Ferne, before several snakes slithered in to join her.
Then another snake. Then a python. Then another thirty. Basically, we lost count of the reptiles on top of Miss McCann – with some even climbing onto her face.
Ferne shouted: "Jesus Christ, I don't like this. Snakes is the one for me."
Even Ant and Dec looked disturbed while watching, admitting that they probably couldn't complete the challenge.
As a snake slithered over Ferne's goggles, Ant whispered: "This is one of the toughest we've had."
Then things got even worse – the lights were turned off and a python wrapped around Ferne's neck, leaving her saying: "I'm doing a Britney Spears."
Amazingly, Ferne somehow managed to complete the whole eight minutes, achieving all of the stars for camp.
Viewers praised the reality star for her bravery, with one tweeting: "If Ferne doesn't win the show after this challenge I give up."
Now if you'll excuse us, we need a lie down.
