For APC, ‘every dead person in Rivers state is their member’ – PDP

The government of Rivers state has lambasted the All Progressives Congress over the attempts of its national leadership to appropriate the victims of the recent spate of violence in the state.
In a statement released on Thursday, March 10 and signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr Austin Tam-George, debunked the claims by certain members of the APC that Wike is responsible for the increased spate of violence in the state.
In a rebuttal, Tam-George fingered the APC as the brain behind the renewed rise of violence in the state in a bid to saturate the state with soldiers and use them to steal ballot boxes in the rerun elections slated for Saturday, March 19.
Tam-George, in the statement, accused the party of driving propaganda to unbelievably new heights by appropriating every dead person in the state as a member of the APC.
He said: “The attempt by the APC to appropriate every dead person in River State as their member might mean that the APC is in fact the sponsor of these satanic cult clashes, all in an attempt to destabilize the Wike administration.”
“The APC’s reckless and false allegations were part of a plan to incite the military and other security forces against the people of Rivers State. It is a crude plan to militarize the state and use the security forces to steal the results of the forthcoming re-run election.”
