There are strong indications that Nigeria National League (NNL) club-sides, Adamawa United and Kwara United have shown interest to buy-over Giwa FC’s slot at the Nigerian Premier League level.

Despite a fluctuating budget, Giwa FC maintained their premier league status for the past two seasons but it is revealed that owner Chris Giwa is now open to sell his slot after Giwa FC failed to gain continental tickets last season.
According to Africanfootball.com, a top source said: “Both Adamawa and Kwara United want to buy up the premier league slot of Giwa in exchange for their places in the lower league.”
Also, the spot is said to have been put up for sale between 150 million to 300 million Naira (about $1.5 million)
With the conclusion of the 2015 season, Adamawa failed their bid to gain promotion to the elite division as their efforts were stalled by Plateau United.
