PLSG to address the dispute in Jos North LGA

Plateau State Government is set to address all shady land deals carried out over a decade in the State capital especially in Jos-North LGA. The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Plateau State Government Barr. Gambo Hawaja stated this during a stakeholders meeting on dialogue and peaceful coexistence held at the Hill Station Conference hall in Jos the State capital aiming at finding a common ground between government and the aggrieved parties in the locality. This follows the demolition of structures erected by Hausa communities on Anaguta land which the government reserved for its use over a decade ago and yet to compensate them for carving out their land which is now taken over by the Hausa community which they claimed the latter erected illegal structures.
Hawaja charged the affected communities to utilize the opportunity given to them by the State government towards having a harmonious relationship in the area as government is committed in putting the lingering issues to rest.
He called on Journalist to join hands with the government in actualizing the needed peace in the State and the Country at large especially with the 5 cardinal point agenda of  the Governor Simon Lalong led administration of bringing sustainable peace among the various tribes in the State.
Leader of the Hausa community living in Jos-North LGA, Mansur Suleiman Nakande commended the State Government for creating such an avenue where issue of public concern especially on the peaceful coexistence of various sectional groups on the Plateau is addressed.
Reacting, the Chairman of the  Anaguta Youth Movement (AYM) Nabor branch. Mr John Philip Yaro said he is aware of a Committee set up by Government but as a stakeholder in his area, he has no knowledge of any committee that brought them together especially the youths whom are crying over the injustice mated against them.
He said they are waiting on the committee set up by government to engage them on the land issue hoping that justice would prevail.
Security personnel have taken over the area at the moment.
