Nigeria's Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalong has tasked Nigeria U23 to gun for victory at the ongoing African U23 Championship in Senegal to book a ticket at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
The Dream Team VI defeated Mali 3-2 in their first game and will face Egypt on Wednesday at the Caroline Faye Stadium, M'Bour.
The African U23 championship is a qualification series that sees the top three teams in the 8-team tourney  represent Africa in next year’s Rio Olympics.
“Let me assure you all that your efforts will not go unnoticed; all I ask of you is to relax, enjoy this moment, and then concentrate on your next game," Dalong was quoted by the NFF website.
"No game is easy, but from the much you have shown against Mali, I know you guys can make it.
"I charge you all to make the nation proud."
Nigeria failed to each the 2012 Olympics in London and would hope to pick one of the three slots allocated to Africa for next year's global sports showpiece.
